Ingredient Information

Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, or at least every 2 hours. For children under 6 months of age: Ask a doctor.

Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease the risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including:

  • limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses

When Vanicream™ Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ is used as directed with other sun protective measures, it helps provide protection from the sun’s harmful rays (UVA and UVB) and decreases the risk of skin cancer and aging.

Love love love

Fantastic! I have been on the look out for a sunscreen I can use for the whole family! I have light skin and my 4 year old is a tan goddess. Every single mineral sunscreen I tried would leave an awful white cast on her! So I switched to all chemical, and then every single chemical sunscreen would burn my eyes! I am a fan of vanicream cleaners and lotion so decided to try this when I saw it and let me tell you I got 3 back ups! No white cast on my little one and no burning eyes for me! Nice and moisturizing does not leave that chalky feeling!

Works

I only recently discovered Vanicream. It’s a shame I can no longer find this sunscreen because it’s the only sunscreen I can put on my face that doesn’t break me out. It has the best coverage I’ve ever gotten for my face. I do wear moisturizer underneath it. It starts out white but blends in on my medium skin tone and I use 2 finger lengths for my face and neck. Or I did when I still had some.

Best sunscreen! DO NOT DISCONTINUE ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS!

I have looked for this in many places and I cannot find it as much as I used to. I read somewhere that it might be discontinued. ANYWAY, I have tried dozens of other products including EltaMD which is supposed to be the best yet that one gives me a rash on my face. Vanicream is the only one that is sensitive enough that my face doesn't get irritated. I am tired or trying to suncreens and waiting hours and then days for the irritation to go away because I found one that works.

Best Facial Sunscreen...Ever...

I have tried probably 15-20 different sunscreens for the face - and this product is hands down the best. High spf, low cast, non-sensitizing, doesn't sting eyes, plays nice with my other cosmetics, no nasty irritating ingredients, no-scent. What more can I ask for? Once you put it on, you forget it is there. I love that it is simple, clean, and perfect for the task. Please - never stop making this one.

sunscreen spf50

I could be a spokesperson for Vanicream, I've told so many people about it! I had a cosmetic procedure done awhile ago, and the doctor gave me a Vani-cream sunscreen sample. People asked me if my procedure was worth $1000- I always say, "it was worth getting the vani-cream sample!" I have used sunscreen every single day since then. I even use it as a setting lotion for my make-up. I used to only use sunscreen when I planned to be on the lake all day, etc., but now I simply use Vani-cream every day. Best thing I've ever done for my skin. And, I use the lip sun screen every day too!

Finally !

Both of my sons have severe eczema and this is the only sunscreen that I have found works! It was recommended by their allergist. It goes on great. Does Leaves a slight white haze on their brown skin but not nearly as bad as other products. This is not cause her eczema breakout. We have tried all brands from Aveeno, Neutrogena, sun bum Coppertone and this is the best!

My skin loves this!

This is by far the only sunscreen which hasn't caused any irritation to my skin. I use this both on face and body. No irritation on my face at all. Doesn't dry my face as well.

Great for swimming- not daily use

Thick and greasy with a thick cast but if you’re outside or in the pool it protects my skin so well and even moisturizes while I’m in salt water!! Great for water and sun protection while active. Would be horrible for daily use under makeup though so be aware. Really soothing though so I’ll use it for what it’s best for! I’m not sure how well it stays on in the water but I’ve never burned using it so it must stay on well enough between reapplications

A solid choice for sunscreen

Bought this in the quest to find a daily sunscreen for my very easily irritated, sensitive, fair skin. It does not irritate my face at all and is reasonably affordable for its quality, which is amazing. It is one of two sunscreens I have found that does not irritate my face - so that is saying something! However, it is quite thick, sits on my skin, and leaves a significant white cast. I still like it and plan on using it for my morning jogs and when attending outdoor events, but personally I wouldn't use it for an "out and about" SPF. That being said, thank you Vanicream for a consistently excellent suite of products.
